I did not pick this up through Amazon, but at “Wal-ly World”, and I paid .88 for it. So, I’m giving it four stars for the price. You can pick up an input cable for a couple of dollars, but as soon as I saw the remote so I don’t have to keep messing with my Touch, I was sold. Does everything it says. connect one end of the remote into the iPod Touch/ iPhone, and the other into the input jack of your car… and you are hearing good/ great quality sound! As soon as I tried this method rather than my FM transmitter, I was sold and gave my transmitter away that same night. No hiss. Sounds great. Overall five stars, but the cost takes it down one star to FOUR.

This is a great item for any photographer. It is small and light and works well. The instuctions are kind of vague so it was a little confusing trying to get the battery in the remote. Other than that I would give this item a 4 thumbs up.

After weighing all the options of the best way to record audio live, short of hooking up a small studios worth of cables and such to my laptop, I decided on the H4n package. The sound was so lifelike it was kinda scary. It was as easy to use as any recording medium could be (hit record + play) and cueing the takes was automatic. Normally, I would expect to have to import the tracks into my computer to apply some EQ and level settings. Everything was already dead on. I listened to a live jazz trio rehearsal straight into my home system which includes a set of ‘Apogee Stage2′ full ribbon speakers + added sub. The included mics (120 d setting) were open and flat. By flat, I mean it sounded as close to the live sound as I have ever heard. The amenities in the package included everything I needed right down to monitoring on the headphones.
I have but one negative issue to mention. The tracks (16 bit wavs)were not recognized properly in Cakewalk’s Sonar (8)and had to be coverted. I chose to convert them to Flacs (non-lossy) and then back to wavs again. 16 bit was used to burn to cd’s. I have not used the mp3 format as of yet. Hence the loss of 1 star.
I would definitly recomend this to anyone, especially musicians looking to hear back the real thing.

This is a great little addition to the Nikon D90 instead of the IR remotes that have the sensor too far to the front for discreet wildlife photography. Only problem I find with it is the lack of instructions. There were only instructions for installing the battery, duh! Product works great for bulb triggering (after I figured you had to hold the button down until the light blinked off) to hold the shutter open. Also it is very fast triggering. One other minor con is the way it hangs from the wire. I am not really fond of things hanging by the cord but a little velcro to the tripod could solve this. These little cons are the reason I gave it only 4 start, it could easily be a 5!!
